Weapon Types

  • Damage Types
    • Normal - The basic damage type, affects most Demons normally.
    • Cutting - Damage that induces Bleeding, ineffective against strong armors.
    • Piercing - Damage type of thrusting weapons, effective against thick-skinned foes
    • Blunt - Somewhat like Normal damage but more effective on certain creatures.
    • Magic - Effective on physically strong creatures.
    • Fire - Strong against many enemies in the Valley of Defilement
  • Damage Modification
    • Bonus Damage based on your stats Strength, Dexterity, Magic, and Faith. This bonus is categorized by the letters E, D, C, B, A and S. The higher rank this bonus, the larger the bonus, though a - denotes no bonus.
  • Special Damage
    • Bleeding, Poison, Plague and Critical Strikes. All aside from Critical are Damage over Time effects and can the effects can be heard via a heartbeat sound.
  • Resistance
    • How effective the weapon is at blocking.
  • Required Stats
    • Base levels needed to properly wield the weapon although some can be two-handed to normal effect. The stats being Strength, Dexterity, Magic, and Faith.
  • Durability
    • Weapons statistics will be dropped severely if the durability drops to 0.
  • Weight
    • Affects movement speed, especially on low-endurance Classes.
